My main interests are in feminist theology and spirituality. I enjoy writing material for worship, and working with groups to create their own liturgies. My Ph.D thesis, Transforming Rites: women's practice of ritual making, is due to be published as a book by Equinox in 2009, and I have contributed prayers and hymns to a number of anthologies.
At Luther King House I teach on ecumenical courses on pastoral care, liturgy and worship, and various aspects of congregational studies, and am convenor of the MA programme. I am on the staff of Northern College, which prepares people for the ministries of word and sacrament and community development work. The college, along with our colleagues in Cambridge and Scotland, is currently exploring what it means to be a resource centre for learning for the whole people of God within the United Reformed Church.
I am a minister of the United Reformed Church, and a member of Chorlton Central Church, which is committed to being an inclusive congregation, working with Methodist and other URC churches in Chorlton. As part of our ecumenical mission, we are involved with exploring cafe-style worship and prayer, and are currently meeting once a month in the local Head over Heels cafe.
