Library Staff
Rachel Eichhorn B.A.(Hons) DipILM (Learning Resources Tutor)
I am responsible for the provision and monitoring of library and learning resource facilities at Luther King House, including computer access for participants. I also offer sessions for participants on study skills, Internet use and accessing resources for research. I report to the Learning Resources Development Group, which manages the overall policy for learning resource provision. I have worked in library/information services for thirteen years. Prior to joining Luther King House, I was employed as Principal Information Assistant by the University of Salford Information Services Division. I obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Information and Library Management from Manchester Metropolitan University in 1999. I am an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Library and Information Professionals.
Pat Anstis B.A.(Hons) (Learning Resources Assistant)
My job is to provide support to the Learning Resources Tutor by assisting in the efficient running of the Learning Resources facilities. I joined Luther King House in August 2001 immediately after graduating (as a mature student!) from Manchester Metropolitan University in Information and Library Management. Prior to this I had spent five years working part-time at St Peter's House (University Chaplaincy) running a small Fair Trade outlet; a couple of years at home caring for young children; and fifteen years in the Civil Service.
I am an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Library and Information Professionals.
